Initial first-party source checks — October 31, 2026

Research snapshot: October 31, 2026. Programs, declarations and deadlines change. Confirm case-specific eligibility and current disaster declarations with the agency before acting. This research is not an eligibility decision.

The full archived research report is kept for provenance and is not published on this site.

This is a limited, targeted verification pass for the repository’s initial practical guide, not a renewed audit of every claim in the archived report.

Scope correction — Pueblo of Zuni

The relevant Federal Register notice is 2026-21102, not the adjacent Indiana notice 2026-21103. Its use of a physical-loan deadline does not itself establish homeowner or renter disaster-loan eligibility: the notice explicitly limits its description to private nonprofit organizations and describes the declaration as Public Assistance Only.

Important access limitation

The consolidated report is preserved verbatim for historical provenance. It cites many sources with shorthand labels (for example, fema.gov +1) rather than usable deep links; those are not independently auditable hyperlinks. The current guide links directly to the first-party channels and specific sources checked above; many other archived findings still need claim-by-claim provenance links before bulk import into claims[].

Do not interpret a document being dated July 2025 or a website returning HTML in October 2026 as proof that every underlying policy is unchanged for every future declaration.
